Polar Rs800 Heart Rate Monitor Review

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

A great piece of equipment is the Polar Rs800 Heart monitor watch. This is, in terms of a training plan and monitoring, is considered to be one of the best in training resources. It also analyses your training and gives feedback. When, combined with the Polar WearLink transmitter, the Polar Rs800 cancels the unwanted signals that may affect the accuracy of the data from other wireless equipment and training tools. The Polar brand is probably the biggest of its kind in the industry. They have been around in the heart rate industry for more than 30 years. In fact in 1977 for the Finnish ski team, was they released the first accurate EKG Monitor. Being this long in the industry has made their experience invaluable.

Innovative features and Functions of the Rs800

The Polar heart rate monitor includes a built-in altimeter that records accent, altitude and total meters climbed. When used in combination with the Stride Sensor Polar S3, its nano technology assures the users, they are getting the most accurate and consistent pace as well as speed, current cadence data and distance worked. The Polar ProTrainer Software 5 is another amazing feature which gives the user access to the most dynamic and advanced training software available today. It also works great for planning workout sessions then analysing the data for the sessions. It gives the user a well prepared training program that can be transferred to the Polar Rs800 heart monitor watch via its infrared connection.

The Polar Rs800 has many functions. If the owner’s level of fitness and age are input, the device can give statistics for each exercise period, calculate heart rate, warn the user if the heart rate is not in the desired area, and present targets for the desired heart rate. The Polar Sports Zone feature keeps track of workout and training intensity also. If one wants to monitor the energy and calories that are expended while exercising, the Polar OwnCal function gives that information. All in all, the Polar Rs800 makes it easy for the user to tell when goals are attained.

Cons

A downside to the Polar Rs800 heart Monitor Watch is the need for additional purchases of extra features like the speed and cadence sensors. The cost can be overwhelming when you are required to purchase them separately. With that being said, if you are searching for a way to maximize your workout, it is a small price to pay. The Polar Rs800 premier monitor does cost a lot but it is well worth it.

The Polar Rs800 Heart Monitor Watch has numerous handy features. It includes a stop watch, has an alarm, and gives the date and time. The battery is easy to replace, the watch is water resistant at a depth of up to 50 meters, and it works with the Adidas AdiStar Fusion shoe. The many functions of this watch make it extremely useful for a wide variety of purposes. It would be hard to find a superior watch in the fitness and training market. The Polar Rs800 Heart Monitor Watch will help users reach their desired level of fitness.

Youth Soccer Drills – The Right Way

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Youth Soccer Training Tips

While coaching youth soccer drills the right way go a long way in making a good coach, critical factors exist that youth soccer coaches must be aware of.It’s common that many coaches are teaching soccer in part-time, but the responsibilities attached to it are completely full time. Here are some useful tips for youth soccer coaches that want to do it the right way:

1. Always, always be prepared. The best coaches in the world always have a game plan, even if it’s just for an ordinary drill session. Being prepared is important, and there’s a lot more to consider than just checking a few things.

A way to go is to write a detailed list of what will hapenning during the training session, including drills instructions. Keep track of players that need to develop specific skills and that need proper evaluation. Keep a set of penalty warm ups in case you have to hand them out.

All these things will help avoid freezing in front of your players and parents without knowing what to do next. It’s really easy to lose the respect of the team if you don’t be aware of these important things.

2. Preparation doesn’t just mean game plans- you should keep the equipment ready beforehand as well. When coaching youth soccer drills, a number of coaches use precious practice time making players lug cones and balls back and forth- this can build up a sense of resentment among the players.

Their #1 goal is to have fun by playing soccer with their friends. Put your feet on the field before the coaching session starts and check everything to ensure all is ok. Check the ground for items like broken glass and make sure things like the goal posts are securely in place. When teaching soccer drills to the kids this is important.

3. Never be satisfied and always keep your eyes open for new drills and coaching methods. If you are going to incorporate them in your training schedule, make notes on how the drill goes. If you feel that it isn’t working, then scrap it and try something else. Apply this kind of procedure to those drills you feels are not performing well.

4. Keep a supply of water and a first aid kit ready at all times.

Can fun and seriousness mix in soccer?

Especially while you teach soccer to younger players, fun is a big part of why they are attracted to soccer in the first place. If you just watch kids playing together in the park, chances are that they will organize themselves into an informal soccer match pretty quick. New people will come by and join the fray; the sounds that you’ll hear the most are those of laughter and kids just having fun. When coaching youth soccer drills, if you want to learn how to explode your players skills in record time and keep their interest by making training more fun and enjoyable, visit us today at SoccerDrillsTips.com .

The Red Army and The Field of Dreams

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Home games Manchester United tickets allows one the chance to see one of the most popular and dynamic football clubs in Europe play live, but also enables to ticket buyer to experience the unique atmosphere that permeates Old Trafford, also named the Field of Dreams, and to witness the excitement that is the Red Army.

Fans have been buying Manchester United tickets to their home games at Old Trafford, since 1910 (except for 8 years after it was bombed during World War II).

The name Field of Dreams was bestowed upon the stadium by Bobby Charlton, one of the Club’s best known players.

Best known for his midfield attacks Sir Robert “Bobby” Charlton also had a deadly long-range shot which helped him win the World Cup and get names the European Footballer of the Year in 1966.

Able to seat over 76,000 Manchester United ticket buying supporters, Old Trafford is the second-largest football stadiums in England and it is one of the two stadia in England to have been given a  “UEFA elite stadium” five-star rating by UEFA.

Old Trafford has hosted many FA Cup semi-final matches as a neutral venue and a few “English national football team” England international fixtures.

During the  “1966 FIFA World Cup”   and  “UEFA Euro 1996″  and the  “2003 UEFA Champions League Final”  matches were also played at Old Trafford.

The Old Trafford pitch is surrounded by four stands, officially known as the North, East, South and West Stands.

Each of the stands has a minimum of two tiers, except the South Stand, which, because of construction restrictions has just one.

The lower tier of each stand is split into Lower and Upper sections, the Lower sections having been converted from standing room only terraces in the early 1990s.

The West Stand at Old Trafford is the most famous, and is known as the  Stretford End.

Originally designed to hold 20,000 fans, the Stretford End was the last remaining where fans watched the game on their feet at the ground before the forced upgrade to seating in the early 1990s.

Stretford End is home to Manchester United’s most die-hard supporters, known as The Red Army.

Most of the noise and atmosphere at Old Trafford emanates from Stretford End, and once the roar from the Red Army there was measured as louder than that of a jumbo jet lifting off.

There is practically no chance for anyone new to get a set in the Stretford End as the fans that fill this stand resubscribe to their Manchester United season tickets every year.

Manchester United’s Red Army was once the biggest and most infamous group of followers British football has ever seen.

When the Red Army followed Manchester United to an away game, the town would fall into chaos: large numbers of fhe Red Army would travel en-mass by train, coach, car or even by foot if necessary, doing whatever it took to get to the game.

In  “1974–75 in English football” the mid-seventies when Manchester United had been sent down from the top flight of English football and played a single season in the  “Football League Second Division” Second Division, the Red Army caused so much trouble  at football grounds around the country visiting other team’s stadiums and often outnumbering  home fans, it led to the introduction of home and away fan segregation and fencing at football grounds throughout England.

These days, the Red Army is nothing like it was in the 1970’s & 80’s.

This Manchester United supporters club, now has a fan base of over 300 million fans across the world.

The vast numbers of Manchester United fans, all of whom would like to visit the Field of Dreams, both to see the game and to experience the atmosphere there, result in it almost always being difficult to buy Manchester United Tickets.

Home Swimming Pool

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Whether we live in an area with tropical climate all throughout the year, or we simply want our own private pool for use during summers and hot days, building a pool right in our own backyard is our best option.

While it won’t be cheap to build our own pool, we can accumulate a few savings in the long run as we can forego a couple of trips to the beach once we have our own pool in place.

Building a pool is no mean feat but it does require a few necessary steps in order to build one that’s right and safe for the entire household.

Things to Consider Before We Begin The Construction

Prior to building our pool at home, there are a few things we need to understand first. First, what kind of pool that we want to build? Would it be an aboveground pool or inground?

We should also consider the space where the pool will be located. How much space do we have? By determining the actual measurements of our allotted space, we can then look for the appropriate Pool Dimensions that will fit into the space.

Typically, an aboveground oval pool of twelve feet by twenty-four feet would need an area of approximately two hundred at forty square feet, while a smaller round aboveground pool would need about one hundred and thirteen square feet of surface area.

Inground pool will need a bit more space. For instance, a twelve by twenty-four feet swimming pool size requires a surface area of at least two hundred and eighty-eight square feet.

Once we have decided on the exact dimensions of our home pool and the surface area, we can take a look at the other details that would be needed to build a swimming pool.

Looking for a Pool Contractor

Next to consider, whether we will need professional pool contractor, or we would like to handle everything by ourself. If we decide to be the General Contractor of our pool project; we can oversee the entire building process and simply hire subcontractors to do the actual pool construction.

By undertaking the task of a General Contractor, we can save a lot of money. However, knowing some basic details of how-to-build-a-pool knowledge would be helpful so we can keep track of the actual construction precess.

As there are very specific jobs where we will be needing the help of professionals such as excavating, plumbing (read more: PVC Pipe Dimensions), electrical connections, landscaping if we want one, paving and putting safety measures in place; we can ask for referrals as to the perfect contractors for these kinds of jobs.

We can also find a few helpful information about pool building and where to look for subcontractors and suppliers within our area so we can start on our pool construction project the soonest time possible.

Confusions While Selecting A Fragrance

Monday, December 28th, 2009

With so various eye-catching commercial advertisements of the newer and newer designer fragrances flashing up on the television screens and the style magazines everyday, it is efficiently turning out to be a matter of utmost confusion to select the apt perfume. This tends to make the selection of the right perfumes tougher for the general mass.

There may arise a wide range of confusions while shopping for the perfumes. The media enticing the general flock regarding the new names and the current fragrances in the market is probably one of the most crucial points of dilemma that have often lead to wrong selection of fragrances and perfumes. The world market of perfumes is highly competitive with great numbers of buyers and numerous manufacturers and sellers. It is, hence, principal for the manufacturers or else the designers to create recent formulae and present previous to the world. Such continual creations of newer and newer names and fragrances by the thousands of designers bewilder the minds of zillions of end users and the story ends up with wrong selection.

The then pivotal point of confusion in this regard is the different types of fragrances. With the lack of knowledge regarding the few fundamental categories and the families of the fragrances you are bound to turn out to be an utter flop while purchasing a perfume for yourself. Some renowned dealer or perfume specialty store widely comes up with a wide assortment of perfumes from varied brands, everything with ecstatic smells. This may eventually lead to the mere wastage of time with wrong selection of perfume.

Price range is another very vital issue that creates awfully great range of confusion. When it comes to the charge ranges for the designer fragrances, it frequently seems that the perfume designers hardly consider about the cost control policies while formulating and coding the prices. It is due to the high rates of several of the renowned brands that the cheaper perfume designers have started to crop up hither and thither. This again runs a long way to confuse the millions of innocent customers.

Special preferences for brands are another very serious issue that cause a superb deal of confusion while planning to pay for perfumes. In several example, if a particular brand remains out of the market next it may put you to the zone of total confusion. Diverse brands progress different base notes that are unique. If the ecstatic Henri d’Orleans remains out of the market for some period, the large aficionados of the brand would discover it to be tough to pick an apt fragrance out from the wide assortment of Badgley Mischka otherwise Sonia Rykiel.

Knowing when depression needs help

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Depression is something that most people experience at one point in their lives. We experience many problems during our lifetime that is why it is but natural to feel depressed at times. But there are some persons whose depression become very, very serious. It is those times when it gets serious that a person may need help. Because often times the consequences can be devastating. So let’s look at some signs so you know when you may need to seek help.

First of all as mentioned earlier we all fall into depression at different times in our lives.Problems in marriage or relationship can cause depression. Or depression can be caused by losing a loved one in our lives.  The reasons for depression that I see in my depression counseling practice varies so much. But depression is a serious problem that is why it is important to know when to seek help.

You can tell a person may need some counseling if the depression extends for a long period of time. If you see someone depressed for days and they start to withdraw they may need help.Or another case is if someone has already withdrawn from socializing with other people. As a family counselor San Diego I have seen all these symptoms. Once you see them you need to seek out help.

The reason you must seek help for them is because they can hurt themselves if the depression is left untreated. But there will be times when instead of hurting themselves they hurt others. The depression has already turned into anger if that happens.A person becomes very angry and frustrated due to depression and he/she can feek that he/she is already useless.  That is when I use my anger management San Diego services to help them.Because anger is more dangerous than depression because it can hurt others already.

Hopefully, you would realize that depression is dangerous if left untreated. When you see it you need to get the person treated right away.Other people and those who are depressed can be at risk.

Choosing Your Scuba Diving Equipment

Monday, December 28th, 2009

There are several types of diving masks such as full face diving masks that allow underwater verbal communication, diving helmets using surface supplied diving equipment etc. Prescription masks are also available for people who wear prescription glasses.

The Fins allow you to move freely underwater and should perfectly fit the feet. It should neither be too tight nor too loose which can hamper swimming capabilities, be very uncomfortable and even dangerous while taking a dive. The snorkel lets you breathe at the surface without raising your head from the water, and should be no lesser than 30 cms in length. The weight belt helps you maintain buoyancy so you should consider getting one if you’re a beginner.

Scuba Sets:

There are two main types of scuba sets ?open-circuit and closed-circuit.

Most scuba divers use standard air – 21% Oxygen, 79% Nitrogen ?for their open-circuit scuba sets, which is much more cost-effective than using mixtures such as heliox and trimix. The open-circuit scuba set (also known as Aqualung) itself is quite simple so is also cheaper and more popular than other types. Basically, the user breathes in from the set and out to waste, with the gas cylinder worn on the back. There are 2- and 3 backpack cylinders open-circuit scuba sets available.

Closed-circuit scuba sets use rebreathers. In this system, exhaled air is reprocessed by the rebreather to make it fit for re-inhalation. This can be very economical for people who need to take long dives. The three types of rebreathers include oxygen, semi-closed circuit and fully-closed circuit rebreathers.

Accessories you should consider:

Regulator and Buoyancy Compensator (BC) ?The regulator, which carries the air from your cylinder, should be equipped with a gauge and second mouthpiece. The Buoyancy Compensator, such as such as a back-mounted wing or stabilizer jacket, is crucial for neutral buoyancy to control depth.

Dive watch: Electronics like a dive watch comes in quite handy when measuring your time and depth underwater. A dive computer is also available for the same purpose which is more accurate but more expensive.

If you plan to really move head with your scuba diving adventure, consider getting other useful accessories such as underwater light, a surface marker-buoy (SMB), a knife, and a compass etc. Experienced divers, Scuba Dive centers, websites, magazines, etc will all be able to assist you when searching for the right scuba diving equipment and accessories.

Why some people succeed in sports while others don’t

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

One of the hardest things to figure out is why two equal athletes can have two different results.  In other words there are many talented athletes that compete.A lot of them have the same skill set.  But some make it and some don’t.In this article we ar going to find out why is that so.  In other words the secret to success will be revealed.

It may be hard figure out at first but once you look and observe it for a long time it is easy to see why.Because looking at these successful athletes you would realize that they have this mental toughness.Mental toughness is the secret of these athletes or for any people who want to succeed in life. Those who are successful have had training with regards to their mental toughness.  As a San Diego family therapist practice I have a lot of parents who want their child succeed bring their kids in for this.

Success starts and ends with mental toughness. If a person is weak mentally they will not succeed at anything. This is a very competitive field and mental toughness would give you the edge to be successful.  That is why my San Diego sports psychology practice gets so many clients.People know that this would give them the edge over their peers to be more sucessful than the others.

A lot of times there will be successful athletes that succeed based purely on athleticism. But once they meet others who are as gifted as they are they soon realize that it is not enough to be gifted physically only. This can lead to anger and frustration which can cause a lot more problems.  Sometimes it leads them to need my anger management San Diego services.  That is when it goes beyond just sports psychology and the anger needs to be dealt with.

So now you may already realize why two physically gifted athletes can have different levels of success. If they can train their minds to be tough they can really be successful. But if they try to succeed on talent alone then it would be tall order.
